Interest:
The Institute of Electric Power Systems
of the Dortmund University was set up by
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Edmund Handschin on March
1, 1974. Besides the further development
of traditional approaches, decentral power
supply concepts, control and protection
technology, software development for the
planning and operation of electric power
supply systems, modelling and simulation
of static and dynamic procedures in electric
power supply systems as well as the liberalized
energy market make up the research emphases.
News
at HANNOVER FAIR 2002:
The fuel cell test stand has been developed
by the Institute for detection of the characteristic
features of PEM fuel cell stacks with an
electric power of up to 1 kW. Apart from
the stacks system-specific peripherals,
e.g. con-verters or reformers of appropriate
power classes, can be tested under operating
conditions. The software of the measuring
system and the necessary measurement technique
can be individually adapted to the respective
measuring tasks.
