Poster Session
Andrew Dicks, Chairman of the Organising Commitee of 17th WHEC (right) at the Opening Ceremony of the Poster Sessions.
Arno A. Evers was, in the name of Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover, Germany, the sole sponsor of the Poster Sessions at 17th WHEC.
These are some of his words at the opening of the Poster Sessions:
Why do I sponsor the poster session?
The poster session is structured in the same way as the oral presentations at 17th WHEC.
However, I hope that you will also find some hints towards the
implementation of new ideas for hydrogen and also fuel cells, as they are both
going together.
What can you expect from the poster sessions at the 17th WHEC here in
Brisbane, Australia? Just a few figures:
1 poster about: "Commercialisation and Investment"
I hope that number will raise in future conferences.
3 about: "Carbon Capture and Storage"
to be honest: NOT my personal favourite topic...
"Government Policy and Support"
"Safety" -- very important
4 about: "Hydrogen Energy: A Vision for The Future?"
I will talk about the same topic tomorrow at 12:30.
"Production of H2 from Nuclear Power"
Is that the future?
5 about: "Education and Training"
Very future orientated. Please visit the CSIRO Poster and Student Forum
Awards!
6 about: "Environmental Issues"
"Hydrogen Infrastructure and Refuelling"
10 about: "Hydrogen for Stationary Power Generation"
With great international participation.
15 about: "Hydrogen-Fuelled Transportation"
Whereas the Tsinghua University in China has been a car producer for many
years.
27 about: "Production of Hydrogen from Biomass"
I hope that there will be enough feedstock left to feed the human population.
31 about: "Production of Hydrogen from Water"
Here is the the word "Electrolysing" still in the foreground.
36 about: "Production of Hydrogen from Fossil Fuels"
My hope is that there are efficient solutions on the market before we
finally are running out of oil, gas and eventually, coal.
42 about: "Hydrogen Distribution and Storage"
The winner (by numbers = 46 posters) is:
"Fuel cells: Technology and Applications"
Which have to be further developed, together with the renewable, sustainable production of
hydrogen.
All in all: Nearly 250 different Poster-Opportunities from all over the world for you!
The poster session is now officially be opended. Enjoy it!
